📤 Upload Problems

Issue: "Upload Failed" Error

Possible causes:

  1. File size exceeds 20MB limit
  2. Unsupported file format
  3. Corrupted image file
  4. Network connection issue

Solutions:

  1. Check file size:

    • Right-click image → Properties/Get Info
    • If >20MB, compress using TinyPNG or similar
    • Recommended: Keep images under 10MB for best performance
  2. Verify file format:

    • ✅ Supported: JPG, JPEG, PNG
    • ❌ Not supported: GIF, BMP, TIFF, WebP, HEIC
    • Convert unsupported formats using free tools like CloudConvert
  3. Test with different image:

    • Try uploading a different photo to isolate the issue
    • If other images work, original file may be corrupted
  4. Check internet connection:

    • Ensure stable WiFi/data connection
    • Try refreshing the page (F5 or Cmd+R)

Issue: Image Appears Blurry or Low Quality

Cause: Source image resolution is too low

Solutions:

  1. Use higher resolution source:

    • Minimum recommended: 1000px width
    • Ideal: 2000px+ width for best AI results
    • Check image dimensions before uploading
  2. Avoid screenshots:

    • Screenshots often have lower quality than original photos
    • Use original image files when possible
  3. Export settings:

    • If downloading from another site, choose "Original" or "High Quality"
    • Avoid "Web Optimized" or "Compressed" versions

Issue: "Image Too Small" Warning

Cause: Image dimensions below minimum threshold (usually <500px)

Solutions:

  1. Use larger source image:

    • Find original, uncompressed version
    • Avoid thumbnails or preview images
  2. Upscale image (not recommended):

    • Use AI upscaling tools like Upscayl
    • Note: Upscaled images may still produce lower quality results

🎭 Mask Generation Issues

Issue: AI Doesn't Detect My Object

Possible causes:

  1. Object name too vague or incorrect
  2. Object blends into background
  3. Multiple similar objects in image
  4. Object partially obscured

Solutions:

  1. Be more specific:

    • ❌ "shoes" → ✅ "red sneakers on the left"
    • ❌ "car" → ✅ "blue sedan hood"
    • ❌ "shirt" → ✅ "white t-shirt on person"
  2. Use preset categories:

    • Click dropdown → Select object category
    • AI will show all detected objects in that category
    • Choose the specific one you want
  3. Try manual selection:

    • Click "Manual Select" mode
    • Draw a rough box around your object
    • AI will refine the selection
  4. Improve source image:

    • Use photos with clear object separation
    • Avoid cluttered backgrounds
    • Ensure good lighting and contrast

Issue: Mask Includes Unwanted Areas

Cause: AI over-selected or background is similar to object

Solutions:

  1. Use Eraser Tool:

    • Click "Fix Mask"
    • Select Eraser Tool (icon: eraser)
    • Brush size: 10-20px for edges, 30-100px for large areas
    • Click and drag over unwanted selections
    • Click "Apply" when done
  2. Adjust detection sensitivity:

    • Look for "Sensitivity" slider (if available)
    • Lower sensitivity = More conservative selection
    • Higher sensitivity = More aggressive selection
  3. Start over with better description:

    • Click "Reset Mask"
    • Use more specific object name
    • Example: "Nike logo on shoe" instead of "logo"

Issue: Mask Misses Parts of Object

Cause: AI under-selected or object has complex edges

Solutions:

  1. Use Brush Tool:

    • Click "Fix Mask"
    • Select Brush Tool (icon: paintbrush)
    • Brush size: 10-20px for fine details, 30-50px for large areas
    • Paint over missed areas
    • Click "Apply" when done
  2. Increase detection sensitivity:

    • Adjust "Sensitivity" slider higher
    • Re-generate mask
    • May require manual refinement after
  3. For complex edges (hair, lace, etc.):

    • Use smallest brush size (10px)
    • Zoom in (mouse wheel or pinch)
    • Carefully paint along edges
    • Be patient - precision takes time!

🎨 Color Application Problems

Issue: Color Looks Unnatural or Flat

Cause: "Preserve Shadows" is disabled, or intensity too high

Solutions:

  1. Enable "Preserve Shadows":

    • Look for toggle switch in color panel
    • Turn ON (should be default)
    • This maintains original lighting and depth
  2. Adjust intensity:

    • Try 80-90% instead of 100%
    • Allows original texture to show through
    • Creates more natural blend
  3. Check source image lighting:

    • Flat lighting in source = Flat result
    • Use well-lit photos with visible shadows/highlights
    • Avoid overexposed or underexposed images

Issue: Color Doesn't Match My Brand Color Exactly

Cause: Using AI Magic instead of Precision Mask, or color space differences

Solutions:

  1. Switch to Precision Mask mode:

  2. Use hex code input:

    • Click color picker
    • Find hex input field (e.g., #FF5733)
    • Paste your exact brand color code
    • Press Enter to apply
  3. Check color profile:

    • Download result
    • Open in photo editor (Photoshop, GIMP)
    • Verify color values match
    • If off, may be browser color management issue
  4. Test on different devices:

    • Colors may appear different on various screens
    • Use calibrated monitor for color-critical work
    • Consider sRGB color space for web consistency

Issue: Color Bleeds Outside Object

Cause: Mask edges are too soft or imprecise

Solutions:

  1. Refine mask edges:

    • Click "Fix Mask"
    • Use Eraser Tool to clean up edges
    • Zoom in for precision work
    • Focus on border areas
  2. Use higher resolution source:

    • Low-res images have less defined edges
    • Upscale or use original high-res version

✨ AI Magic Issues

Issue: AI Result Doesn't Match My Prompt

Cause: Prompt too vague, or AI misinterpreted intent

Solutions:

  1. Make prompt more specific:

    • ❌ "gold" → ✅ "metallic rose gold with brushed finish"
    • ❌ "shiny blue" → ✅ "glossy midnight blue with reflections"
    • Include material, color, AND finish
    • See Prompt Writing Guide →
  2. Try alternative phrasing:

    • "chrome mirror finish" vs. "reflective silver metal"
    • "matte black leather" vs. "soft black leather texture"
    • Small word changes can produce different results
  3. Iterate with variations:

    • Generate 2-3 versions with slightly different prompts
    • Compare results
    • Refine based on what works best
  4. Check example prompts:

Issue: AI Result Looks Unrealistic

Cause: Prompt conflicts with object context, or source image quality issues

Solutions:

  1. Match prompt to object type:

    • Don't apply "leather texture" to metal objects
    • Don't use "fabric" prompts on hard surfaces
    • AI works best when prompt aligns with object material
  2. Simplify prompt:

    • Remove conflicting descriptors
    • Focus on one material/finish
    • Example: "glossy metallic gold" instead of "glossy matte metallic gold"
  3. Reduce intensity:

    • Lower to 60-80%
    • Blends AI result with original
    • Creates more subtle, believable effect
  4. Use better source image:

    • Well-lit, sharp, high-resolution
    • Clear object details visible
    • Minimal noise or compression artifacts

Issue: AI Processing Takes Too Long

Cause: Large image size, server load, or network issues

Solutions:

  1. Check file size:

    • Right-click image → Properties/Get Info
    • If >20MB, compress using TinyPNG or similar
    • Recommended: Keep images under 10MB for best performance
  2. Verify file format:

    • Ensure it's JPG or PNG (not TIFF, BMP, etc.)
    • Convert if necessary
  3. Reduce image size:

    • Resize to 2000px width (optimal balance)
    • Compress before uploading
    • Smaller files = Faster processing
  4. Check processing time estimates:

    • Small (<1MB): 10-15 seconds
    • Medium (1-5MB): 15-25 seconds
    • Large (5-20MB): 25-40 seconds
    • If exceeding these, may be server issue
  5. Refresh and retry:

    • If stuck >60 seconds, refresh page
    • Re-upload and try again
    • May have been temporary server hiccup
  6. Try during off-peak hours:

    • Server load varies by time of day
    • Early morning or late evening often faster
    • Weekdays typically faster than weekends

Issue: "AI Generation Failed" Error

Cause: Server error, prompt issue, or image incompatibility

Solutions:

  1. Simplify prompt:

    • Remove special characters or emojis
    • Use plain English
    • Avoid very long prompts (>50 words)
  2. Check image:

    • Try different source image
    • Ensure image isn't corrupted
    • Verify format is JPG or PNG
  3. Retry generation:

    • Click "Generate" again
    • May have been temporary server issue
    • If fails 3+ times, contact support
  4. Clear browser cache:

    • Ctrl+Shift+Delete (Windows) or Cmd+Shift+Delete (Mac)
    • Select "Cached images and files"
    • Click "Clear data"
    • Refresh page and try again

    • May be JavaScript conflict
    • Clear cache and cookies
    • Refresh page and try again

Issue: Downloaded Image is Low Quality

Cause: Wrong quality setting selected, or browser compression

Solutions:

  1. Default is PNG:

    • The app exports in PNG format to preserve transparency and quality
    • File size may be larger than JPG, but quality is better
  2. Use online converter:

    • If you strictly need JPG
    • Use free tools like CloudConvert or Squoosh
  3. Check original image quality:

    • Downloaded result can't exceed source quality
    • If source is low-res, result will be too
    • Use high-quality source images
  4. Disable browser image compression:

    • Some browsers compress downloads
    • Check browser settings → Downloads
    • Disable any "Optimize downloads" options

Issue: Downloaded Image Has Wrong Format

Cause: Browser auto-converted format, or wrong selection

Solutions:

  1. Verify format:

    • The download button automatically saves as high-quality PNG
    • This ensures the best quality for your edited image
  2. Rename file extension:

    • If downloaded as .jpg but you wanted .png
    • Right-click file → Rename
    • Change extension (may need to show file extensions in OS)
  3. Use "Save As" method:

    • Right-click result image
    • "Save Image As..."
    • Manually type filename with correct extension
